 As part of a tribute to the new Planer/Moulder mill, Wynndel Box and Lumber is bringing back the steam whistle! What could be more fitting than the sound of a steam whistle to signal the end of the work day.  We will be refitting the steam whistle to do just that.  Based on limited research, we have been able to establish that the whistle is likely a “Crosby” model.  During the 1950’s, it was in operation at the mill.  If you have any information to add to this story, please contact us.

This is the steam whistle that was in the mill in the 1950’s.  Our plan is install it in the new planer mill for use.
